Requirements:

  • Right to work in Scotland (Sponsorship NOT provided)
  • PVG check through Clinical 24 (one will be applied for upon application)
  • Proof of mandatory training (If none, free training will be provided as part of the compliance process)
  • 2 x References covering a minimum of 3 years
  • SSSC Registration and online check
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Support Worker in Community settings
  • Driving license will be beneficial

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing emotional support to individuals and their families.
  • Providing enthusiastic and compassionate care, to contribute to an individual's physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Being motivated and recognizing the importance of your role in supporting a client with complex care needs.
  • Being willing and eager to complete addition training, upskill, coach and mentor yourself.
  • Comfortably assisting clients with limited mobility.
  • Providing practical support for individuals, such as helping with household tasks, personal care, taking to appointments.
  • Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, including administering medication.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the individual.
  • Safeguarding individuals and reporting any concerns.
  • Accurate and timely record keeping and incident/accident reports.
  • Able to work on a rolling rota basis and being part of a team of core carers/nurses around the individual, working collaboratively with the management team.
